Flocks was the first release that Jesse Brown had written and recorded after the separation of his marriage to Terri Peterson - his wife of almost 20 years and the mother of his two sons. This will always be an extra special piece for Jesse Brown as it brings back powerful feelings of heartbreak and well wishes as they set each other free.

Flocks was recorded with love and released through the NY based Sonder House Music in the fall of 2018. The cover art photo was taken on the last journey that Jesse and his former wife Terri took to their self-made cabin in the woods. It was during a season of change as the great goose migration was taking place on the Canadian Prairies. Jesse found the connection between the natural world and his own life to be very strong at that point in time.
