This piece was written for a specific student and neighbour who had really enjoyed a piece entitled Drifting Clouds that used some very basic triad patterns. The Eagle ended up being slightly more complicated than was first intended, but is definitely within the grasp of the early intermediate pianist… especially if you have nimble fingers and a love of rhythm..

The Eagle is also recognized by Conservatory Canada and CNCM as being an official piece for examination purposes for grade 5 classical or contemporary idioms piano.
